Focus: Weekly Photo Challenge – Out the window

Taking photos whilst travelling through the countryside can be quite a challenge, especially when the camera decides to focus on the droplets of rain on the windows, rather than the passing scenery! I have found this to be quite annoying when travelling in the past, and thought that my photos focused on raindrops would never have a purpose – but it turns out they do.

Photos taken somewhere in County Durham (northern England) in December 2011.

  3. I’ve had the same problem with focusing the iPad sometimes. It wants to focus on the far-away, while I want the nearby flower. Sometimes it does the opposite. 🙂 I’ve had times when it probably took me five minutes to get the shot I wanted and times when I’ve had to give up.

    • Yes, the iDevices can be like that with focus. These photos were taken on my Pansonic Lumix. When travelling in a car/bus/train, however, one seldom has even a minute to turn on the camera and snap away before whatever you wished to photograph has passed!
