Geppetto’s Workshop

It was a proper winter’s afternoon today: cold, dark, bleak and wet. So, perfect for an outing up in the hills! The main reason we went was to visit this marvellous toyshop to buy a gift for my little cousin’s first birthday which is coming up. Geppetto’s Workshop is no Toys’R’Us – there’s no Barbies or Lego or anything electronic and flashy. It is a proper, old-fashioned toyshop. They have spinning tops and jack-in-the-boxes and puppets (including Muppet-puppets!) and Silvanian families and marionettes and teddy bears and dress-ups  and all sorts of wonderful, beautiful things.

For my cousin, we bought a push-along bubble-bee and a spinning top. I think we’ll be back there in a few months for Christmas shopping!
